Interest rates on federal student loans will increase by 1.93 percentage points effective this July 1. The new variable rate on federal Stafford loans issued after July 1998 will increase to 4.70 percent for in-school and grace customers and 5.30 percent for customers currently in repayment. The rate on Parent Plus loans issued after July 1998 will increase to 6.10 percent. This increase will mean higher interest payments for you. Maybe I'm missing the point, but i really dont think so. We've all been bombarded by advertisements, posters, signs, commercials and even friends telling us which way to vote and why not to vote for this guy, and frankly I'm tired of it. The sad truth is: we all grow old, people change, and worst of all we can’t stay in college forever, believe me, I tried! College is the time of your life. I encourage you, no I implore you all to make the most of it now. I am 8 months removed from college and I am ready to go back. DO NOT GRADUATE. Stay in school as long as you can.
